A Must-See ... Interesting Food and Location

The best parts are the location (especially from the outside) and the cheap food.
I think this is a remarkable dining place for the area, and it is also strategically located on the way back from the beach. Easy to find when driving.

Their Jamaican Patties, probably the most popular item on the menu, were truly cheap and quite tasty, especially the dough.
I preferred the one with spinach to the other with jerk chicken.

Their Lentil Burger was quite interesting, too, and in my views better than the patties.
It was tasty, solid, well dressed and refreshing (for the lettuce).

This place is not expensive and, if the food is really wholesome as they claim, truly a great deal. (lire la suite)

Incredible gem along Slauson, spectacular location & futurist 1950's building (check out the palm trees piercing through the roof on the western side of the building) provided with a huge parking lot. The restaurant is separated from the adjacent organic food minimarket. You order your stuff at the counter and they deliver to your table. If the intrusive music does not succeed in alleviating your waiting time (15 minutes for food preparation), perhaps pick up a copy of one of the free magazines at the entrance.... (lire la suite)
